This position is located in Golden Gate National Recreation Area, in the Facilities Management Division.
This is a Career/Career-Conditional Full-time appointment.
Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will be paid if the selectee lives outside of the local commuting area and is otherwise eligible for reimbursement of relocation expenses in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulation.
Duties
Performs preventive maintenance to all plumbing and mechanical equipment and parks. Installs, modifies, and repairs plumbing fixtures (bathtub, showers, toilets, water fountains, and associated hardware)
Cleans gravity type sewage drain lines, repairs or replaces portable water lines, and makes connections and repairs to water mains and fie hydrants.
Installs, repairs and performs preventive maintenance to heating and cooling systems (including low-pressure hot water and evaporative type coolers).
Packs valve stems, services check valves, flanges, altitude valves, gauges, and all pumping equipment used in water systems.
Works with electrically controlled metering system and pumping equipment.
