You will serve as a SECRETARY (OA) in the ENGINEERING AND PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
A post allowance amount, (otherwise known as: COLA), of 8.9% will be added to the stated salary. Post allowance is subject to change at any time. For additional information, please refer to the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), Chapter 5 Part B.
Salary for GS-06 is $45,994 - $59,794
Salary for GS-07 is $51,110 - $66,445
Duties
You will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical, secretarial, and administrative duties related to the management of the organization.
You will utilize computer supported interactive office systems in the daily completion of duties.
You will be responsible for maintaining the Department Head and Chief Engineer's daily calendar and establishing priorities, and scheduling meetings and appointments.
You will be responsible to review outgoing correspondence for typographical and grammatical accuracy, conformance with procedural instructions, etc. and calls deviations to the attention of the supervisor.
You will assist in preparation of agenda Items for meetings.
You will handle mail and maintains files by checking mailboxes for C200, C240 and C201.
You will sign for all CONFIDENTIAL documents for the Department and ensure they are properly handled and distributed.
You will arrange conferences, off-sites and strategy meetings. Schedules, confirms, and reserves a venue.
You will assist in SUBSAFE Audits and other department audits as needed.
You will manage the Combined Federal Campaign for Code 200 Department.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
For the GS-06 Secretary (OA) position your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector contributing clerical and administrative support to provide clear and timely correspondence (e.g., email, phone calls, on-line communication applications, memos, and Microsoft Teams), scheduling meetings, managing records and supervisor's schedule for the efficient and effective management of the Engineering and Planning Department.
For the GS-07 Secretary (OA) position your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing clerical and administrative support to provide clear and timely correspondence (e.g., email, phone calls, on-line communication applications, memos, and Microsoft Teams), scheduling meetings, managing records and supervisor's schedule for the efficient and effective management of the Engineering and Planning Department.
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
