About the Position: Provides support consistent with Project Delivery Business Processes (PDBP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), on-the-job training, and technical guidance from expert staff members. Provides Level I customer assistance for the Automated Information System (AIS)/P2.

Duties

Perform various administrative duties, including document management and data collection, to support project operations successfully. Provide customer support for the Automated Information System by answering help desk inquiries and troubleshooting problems. Update project schedules and cost information in the management system, providing timely reports to project teams for accurate status assessments. Monitor project funds and budgets throughout all phases to assure proper allocation and performance maintenance

Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Supporting project managers by handling administrative tasks to improve work efficiency; 2) Examining project finances to verify that all expenditures are pre-approved and accurately recorded; AND 3) Gathering data and creating reports for effective project decision making. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-06. Specialized Experience GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Assisting project managers by handling administrative tasks to improve work efficiency; 2) Keeping accurate records of budget-related transactions and adjustments; AND 3) Applying budget rules and regulations to ensure proper fund usage. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-5. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Time in Grade Requirement GS-06: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
