Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-11 level, you must have one of the following:
1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level defined as assisting in implementing policies and procedures for managing records; reviewing and updating the organization’s records management plan; assist contracting representative for contracts or task orders in implementing records management procedures; research and provide technical advice and guidance on records management.
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related; the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position
equivalent combination of education and experience
NOTE: 1 year of full-time undergraduate study is 30 semester or 45 quarter hours. 1 year of full-time graduate education is the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study; if that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours is considered 1 year of full-time study.
To qualify for the GS-12 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level defined as Implementing policies and procedures for managing records in adherence to the organization’s guidelines and procedures; assisting in the budget development of strategic goals and resources projects; serves as the contracting representative for contracts or task orders in implementing records management procedures; providing technical advice and guidance on records and information management.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of records and information management laws, regulations, policies, processes and guidance.
Skill in utilizing electronic records management systems and databases for cataloging, filing and retrieval of information.
Knowledge of records and information management laws, regulations, policies, processes and guidance.
Ability to perform segments of Contracting Officer Representative (COR) duties.
Knowledge of analytical and evaluative techniques, methods and qualitative and quantitative measuring tools to evaluate records and information management (RIM) work operations.
