This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. Records Management Oversight & Reporting Program, Office of the Chief Records Officer. As an Archives Specialist, you will be participating in the evaluation of records management programs in Federal agencies including inspections, assessments, and other evaluations of Federal agency programs and processes that measure agencies' compliance with Federal records management statutes, regulations, and guidance.

Duties

As an Archives Specialist, you will: Participate or lead teams to plan and conduct targeted agency inspections of Federal agency programs and processes, including background research, project planning, site visits, report preparation, and monitoring programs or projects for compliance with federal laws, regulations, and guidance. Oversee reporting activities by Federal agencies about records management compliance activities. Participate in planning, development, implementation, and analysis of records management data calls to agencies.

Requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Interpreting and communicating to others records management policies and guidance; AND- Collecting and analyzing data; AND- Contributing to oral and/or written reports; AND- Participating in and/or leading project teams. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F):For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
