Duties

The selectee will serve as a/an Vehicle Fleet Specialist in the Office of Investigations. Typical work assignments include: Tracking the location, status and usage of vehicle fleets and arranges for the disposal of old or damaged vehicles. Responding to inquiries from vehicle operators and recommends action. Reviewing, revising, and retrieving vehicle data from the Sunflower Accounting Management System (SAMS) to ensure data is accurate. Evaluating problems or issues associated with vehicle use and arranging for changes in vehicle types based on the assessment and the customer's need. Reviewing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and directives pertaining to the proper use of government owned/leased vehicles.

Specialized Experience: GS-12: You qualify for the GS-12 level (starting salary $95,895.00) if you possess one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties: Monitoring fleet utilization to provide recommendations on additional vehicles or vehicle maintenance needs; Coordinating vehicle transfers by generating documentation and verifying vehicle details are current (i.e. registration and insurance); and Compiling vehicle reports to provide to management officials for review. NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
