You will function as the Assistant Program Manager in Logistics (APML) in the Systems Acquisition Group, Logistics Integration Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Duties
You will formulate the support and maintenance concepts and maintainability requirements for assigned aircraft weapons system.
You will exercise resource responsibility/authority over support budgets to include planning, tracking and executing sustainment funds.
You will direct analyses by appropriate activities and implement corrective actions with an emphasis on improving fleet aircraft readiness.
You will manage and direct the efforts of all logistics personnel providing life cycle product support management to the weapon system.
You will plan and chair logistics and maintenance conferences, as required, throughout the sustainment and support phases to ensure a continuous, effective, and balanced logistics support program.
You will accomplish other duties as assigned.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (DA-05) or grade level (GS-12/13) or in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Demonstrating advanced working knowledge of acquisition life cycle management for major aircraft weapon system to include, but not limited to the development of technical analyses and logistics plans, strategies and requirements as well as funding summaries and cost estimates in support of assigned program/project; 2) Preparing and presenting oral and written presentations to program stakeholder, team members, and agency personnel to prove and justify deviations from established logistics policies and procedures; 3) Leading a diverse team of logisticians and/or other personnel through various milestone stages such as Early Acquisition, Design interface, Development, Interim Support, and Operations and Sustainment; and 4) Developing, maintaining, and executing sustainment budgets for a major air weapons system program/project; and 5) Interfacing internal and external contacts to resolve integrated logistical support (ILS) problems by developing new approaches and procedures.
