Duties
Conducts financial reviews and completes projects that provide advisory services to management officials regarding complex programs.
Generates reports, analysis and validation for actual and revenue work count data.
The incumbent analyzes data requirements to improve system performance and reliability through the development of databases and micro-applications
Researches, analyzes, and resolves daily systems problems related to database management and report processing cycles.
Serves as a financial management analyst involved in developing, analyzing, and evaluating a wide variety of financial management data.
Discusses, explains, and presents analytical findings and data in support of recommendations to management officials.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as: experience performing in-depth evaluation of financial management and budgetary procedures, policies and internal controls to improve overall effectiveness and efficiency of operations (relative to large-scale accounting and financial operations); and providing finance and budgetary consultation to assist leadership in completing financial missions.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. To be considered for the GS-12, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher in the Federal service.
You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Education
Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Level 2 Certification under the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program as a condition of employment. If you are selected, you will have to obtain this certification within two (2) years of your entry on duty in the position unless you are already in a position that requires a Level 2 Certification in which case you must complete the certification within the original 2-year period.
