The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as a Regional Director as part of the Center for Federal Executive Board (FEB). As a Region Director, you will provide direction and leadership to a geographically disbursed staff and oversee the implementation of the program's mission of improving coordination, communication, and collaboration among Federal agencies nationwide.
Duties
Drive consistency, cohesion, and improved communication across FEBs in the Region by establishing clear goals, metrics, and reporting processes to align local efforts with national priorities and the President's Management Agenda.
Build and maintain executive-level partnerships with Federal agency leaders, state, local, and tribal government officials, and community organizations to advance shared interests and implement strategic initiatives.
Lead the development and execution of the annual program plan and budget for the Region, ensuring robust programming, efficient resource allocation, and achievement of performance targets.
Oversee personnel management responsibilities for FEB staff, including hiring, professional development, performance appraisals, and employee engagement, to build a talented and motivated team.
Oversee the implementation of training programs, mentorship initiatives, and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of federal employees across the region.
Ability to coach and develop a geographically disbursed staff.
Qualifications
For the GS- 15: You must have one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the private or public sector) performing all the following tasks: 1) Translating strategic plans into actionable strategies for a program area; 2) Building and maintaining relationships with high-level officials, community leaders, and diverse stakeholders; 3) Leading organizational transformations and guiding teams through significant changes; and 4) Evaluating and analyzing situations to make strategic, sound decisions.
Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-14 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-15 level.
