Duties
You will have knowledge of electronic principles involved in such applications as data display, digital logic circuits, telephone, ultrasonic and microminiaturized integrated circuitry, board knowledge of shop and trade practices.
You will knowledge of passive capacitance, ultrasonic and infra-red fire sensing equipment, annunciator systems, sensor monitoring equipment and various commercial alarm systems.
You will be able to operate transistor tester, oscilloscope, logic comparator, laptop computer, digital and meter-type vow, alarm EPPOM programmers for various alarm systems and special purpose test.
You will be crossed-trained with fire protection pipefitter to be able to reset fire suppression wet systems, deluge systems and pre-action systems.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid California driver’s license.
- This position may require ability to obtain licenses for the operation of Forklift, High Lift (JLG) and/or Construction equipment, upon notification.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) performs repairs and maintenance on positive logic circuits with a variety of input forms; 2) makes operational checks on a variety of complex equipment and complete systems; 3) independently performs functional test on each subsystems as a scheduled maintenance program; 4) determines causes of malfunctions and makes necessary repairs, perform all overhauling calibrating installing modifying and aligning of the sensor subsystems.
