You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist GG-01320-13 in NIMITZ OPERATIONAL INTELLIGENCE CENTER the of NIMITZ OPERATIONAL INTELLIGENCE CENTER. All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.

Duties

You will prepare and produce initiative reports and briefs for executive level audience, such as CNO and Navy staff elements. You will identify and/or provide for the resolution of intelligence gaps, prepares or satisfies collection requirements to resolve gaps. You will evaluate and/or facilitate reporting from collectors in response to requirements and provides guidance/feedback to field elements that support analytical efforts.

• You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

• This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
• This position may requires a 2-Year DCIPS trial period requirement.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Provide technical advice on a wide range of complex analysis, evaluation, collection, interpretation, or dissemination of information and/or products relative to an assigned area(s) on political, economic, social, cultural, physical, geographic, technical or military conditions for one or more foreign countries; 2) Plans, implements and maintains data bases for intelligence assignments required to process all-source material and the production of technical or operational intelligence in his/her assigned area(s); 3) Identifies intelligence gaps, specifies collection requirements to fill gaps, and develops analytical tools and methodologies to cope with the gaps; and 4) Maintains liaison with personnel in other intelligence agencies, laboratories, services, and allied foreign governments to discuss production requirements and provide information.
