You will serve as an Administrative Support Specialist in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.
The BR-02 broadband level encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-09, GS-11, and GS-12.
Duties
You will provide executive level administrative support to the Section Head, Deputy Section Head, and other members of the section directorate management team.
You will exercise control over the Section Head's calendar, with complete authority for commitment of time.
You will verify and confirm appointments and reschedule appointments when necessary.
You will arrange conferences and meetings for the Section Head, Deputy Section Head, and other members of the section directorate management team, including notifying participants, preparing agenda, and handling other logistics-related matters.
You will serve as a confidential administrative staff member.
You will develop and coordinate weekly agenda for the Section Head.
You will determine nature of call or business of visitors desiring to see the Section Head.
You will manage all files regarding the work that is performed within Naval Reactors and provide support to section directorate management staff as needed as ensure record management requirements for federal records are met.
You will review all types of directives, policy statements, memoranda, sensitive communications, and correspondence to ensure they are submitted as complete and accurate documents.
You will make all necessary arrangements for travel according to knowledge of the Section Head, Deputy Section, and team members within the section.
You will coordinate travel plans with accurate estimates, ensuring no conflict with local, high priority commitments.
You will maintain various classified record systems, including archiving and scanning, using manual and electronic tracking systems.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, BR-01 (GS-07 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing administrative tasks, functions, or activities (e.g., preparing agenda items, arranging/scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, record management, drafting correspondences, reports and memoranda, and maintaining daily schedules of leadership) for an organization to ensure the daily execution of office operations in accordance with established protocols, processes, or procedures.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree; -OR-
- successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree; -OR-
- obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled; -OR-
- a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
