This position is located at Sierra Army Depot, CA. This is a Regular Part Time position (0-20 hours) with eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans. Duties

Serves as Facility Assistant in a fitness facility. Works under the direction of the Fitness Facility Manager. Assists Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory. Provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery. Duties include adjusting due to changes in program demands or hours of operation and assisting in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions. Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts. Conducts classes and walks all facility rooms to provide guidance or referral as appropriate.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2 to include a physical and Tier 1 background investigation.
• Possesses and maintains the following certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED; MWR Orientation Course; Customer Service; Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair).
• Must be ability to lift 40lbs

Qualifications

Possesses directly related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to operate multiple fitness facilities. 2.The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. "**To be considered Highly Preferred you must meet all Minimum Qualifications and all Highly Preferred criteria.**" Highly Desirable: Possession of a Nationally Recognized Basic Fitness Trainer Certification.
