Incumbent works in the Commander, Navy Region, Southeast (CNRSE) Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Program under the general supervision of the designated manager. Incumbent is responsible for teaching 1-2 classes per week.

Requirements

• Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
• Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
• The work requires standing, sitting, walking and lifting 50 pounds or more while performing duties.
• Irregular working hours may be required to include early shift, late shift, evenings, weekends and holidays when the need arises.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid certification is required.
• Certification from a nationally recognized agency in the area of exercise science or be able to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

Ability to set a positive example for fitness standards Ability to develop and customize various group classes. Ability to speak to individuals/groups regarding fitness and lifestyle modification as required. Ability to maintain records and reports, follow verbal and written instructions, and communicate effectively with others.

Education

• Must possess and maintain at all times a Certified Group Exercise Instructor / Trainer certificate from an approved source.
• Must aquire and maintain CPR and First Aid Certification
