Duties
You will apply maximum security measures in safeguarding items of critical importance to a classified national mission.
You will deter, apprehend, and detain violators and violent individuals for transfer to local or federal law enforcement.
You will operate radar and pursue vehicles when enforcing traffic regulations.
You will prevent unauthorized or inadvertent entry into limited access/exclusion areas through the use of overlapping protection systems.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You must possess the mental disposition and ability to deal with uncooperative, unruly, and potentially dangerous individuals.
- You must pass pre-employment and annual suitability screening.
- Incumbent mist be mature, stable, and show a willingness and capacity to perform assigned tasks independently per OPNAVINST 5530.13
- Must pass a pre-employment and an annual physical agility test and medical examination in accordance with local SOP and Army Civilian Police and Security Guard Program (AR 190-56).
- You must satisfactorily complete phase I training for Civilian security guard personnel within six months of entering on duty per CNICINST 3502.2.
- Must successfully obtain and maintain CPR certification and complete first aid training. Must obtain and maintain a state and government driver's license.
- Required to wear a standardized uniform while performing official duties. Employee is responsible for the upkeep and serviceability of uniform items.
- Must work rotating shifts and other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays, to cover 24 hour/seven days a week operation.
- Shift assignment is subject to change at any time. Overtime may be required, at time with minimal notice. Required to report to the command when requested.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- Must complete annual sustainment training on or before the anniversary date of initial or previous annual training
- May be required to travel or perform temporary additional duty assignments up to approximately 5% of the time both inside and Outside the Continental United States.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications
GS-06
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following. Determining identity, purpose of visit, and destination for all personal and visitors
GS-05
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing appropriate responses to breaches in physical security control (e.g) locks, fences, gates and other barriers).
