Duties
You will plan, organize, and direct the activities of Military Free-fall (MFF) training ensuring that program complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer
needs.
You will represent the MFF instructional program with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates; sets and adjusts short-term priorities and prepares schedules.
You will ensure that all new instructors are qualified and knowledgeable on the four main phases of training prior to teaching.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Candidate must be physically fit and capable of meeting the current Hyperbaric Physiological Chamber certification.
- Incumbent will be subject to inclement weather conditions including sub-freezing or extreme heat and/or humidity.
- Employee is required to work an uncommon tour of duty.
- This position mandates irregular work schedules with night and/or weekend training activities (e.g., employee may be required to work 12 hrs./day, five days per week and often at night). Employee may be required to work overtime.
- Applicant is required to take a pre-employment physical prior to appointment.
- Incumbent will be required to pass or provide a current Military Free Fall physical, in accordance with Army Regulations 40-501.
- Incumbent must pass military High-Altitude Physiological School (HAPS) training without restrictions.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in the development of new concepts and doctrine for Military Free-fall Instructor programs, requiring instructors remain current on new technology and doctrinal developments, as well as conducting research to improve the quality and scope of training.
