You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY / OA) in the Manpower Department, N1 at Navy Operational Support Center (NOSC), Washington on Joint Base Andrews at Andrews Air Force Base, MD of NRC WASHINGTON.
Duties
You will perform record review for completion, accuracy, and compliance with military policies and regulations.
You will serve as point of contact between the major claimant and NOSC on the status of the Reserve Financial Management System (RESFMS).
You will review orders, coordinate loss with other NOSC, and prepare/send welcome packages.
You will coordinate with CNRFC to ensure that officer bonus packages are accurate, complete, and timely submitted.
You will conduct research and provide technical answers to inquiries from employees and officials related to the Manpower, gains and losses, and officer bonuses.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Requires the employee to successfully complete a two-week Reserve Personnel and Pay Management course within six months of employment.
- Must be a skilled typist with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word.
- Drill weekend work is required.
Qualifications
For GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Resume must demonstrate the following specialized experience:
Experience in effectively communicating verbally and in writing with customers, superiors, subordinates, and peers at all levels to negotiate changes, enforce regulations, and solve problems.
Experience in providing advice and assistance to management in search of sound solutions to challenges in support of training services.
Experience in utilizing automated systems such as Transaction Online Processing System (TOPS), Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS), Reserve Force Manpower Tools (RFMT), Homeport, APPLY, Junior Officer APPLY, CMSID, and Reserve Headquarters Support (RHS).
