This position is located in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, in the Facility Management Division.

Duties
Constructs, alters, modifies or repairs a wide range of features in buildings, quarters and other facilities.
Installs, modifies, and repairs new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems and equipment such as sewage, water, oil, and gas distribution systems and water closets, tubs, fire sprinkler systems, and showers, and lay out of such things as angles, arcs, and circles.
Paints, decorates, and refinishes a variety of interior and exterior surfaces of offices and buildings, family dwellings, other structures, finishing, and equipment.
Restores, stabilizes, or repairs floors of brick, or stone. Applies appropriate chemical preservatives to masonry surfaces either by spraying or painting.
Responsible for installing new roofs, including metal flashing, gutters, and other roofing accessories, and repair or replace sheathing, boards, beams, and joists.
Safely operates a wide variety of maintenance vehicles. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid State driver's license.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT)
Experience must be demonstrated in at least two of the following trades: Carpentry, Plumbing, Painting, Masonry, or Roofing.
Ability To Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprints reading)
Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment
Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc.
Knowledge of materials
Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic)
Use of Measuring Instruments
