Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
- This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program.
- Incumbent is required to sign DA Form 5019-R and/or DA Form 7412, Condition of Employment for certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program.
- Requires an initial drug screening test as well as random drug test for duration of employment.
- Incumbent required to meet ammunition certification requirements IAW DA PAM 385-64 within 90 days of employment.
- Position requires significant portions of work to be performed outdoors.
- This position will require to work nights and weekends.
- This position requires a pre-employment and annual physical.
- Position requires up to 5% TDY/Business Travel.
- This position requires a valid state driver’s license.
- This position requires heavy lifting of 50 pounds or more.

This announcement uses the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.
