About the Position: This position is a Supply Systems Analyst position located at Fort Drum, New York 13602.

Duties

Serve as the Medical Logistics/Supply Systems Analyst for the Office of the Chief, Logistics Division, Guthrie Ambulatory Health Clinic-GAHC. Responsible for defining requirements, planning, budgeting, evaluating acquisitions, coordinating implementations, and otherwise managing the operations and maintenance of various automated medical logistics systems. Establishes GAHC logistical supply system requirements, determines priorities, and represents GAHC in scheduled and unscheduled meetings. Receive problems of a highly technical nature from functional managers and reports and tracks systems problems to the appropriated help desk, analyzes output to determine accuracy in accordance with directives and policy. Receive or develop procedural changes to automated logistical supply systems and distributes these changes to functional personnel of the Logistics Division. Determine and schedule appropriate logistical supply systems jobs which will satisfy requirements on a routine and as required basis. Serve as the liaison for the Logistics Division to include coordination with IMD and supporting units to ensure the most current hardware and software are available Cont'd: installed and utilized so as not to degrade mission support for DMLSS Customer Assistance Module (DCAM).

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing a wide variety of supply program analysis functions; using automated supply and/or production databases; and advising and/or recommending improvements to the effectiveness of work methods and procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Logistics Management.. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Database Management SystemsOrganizational AwarenessOrganizational Performance Analysis Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
