You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH MANAGER in the SAFETY BRANCH of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION.
Duties
You will serve as an operations safety manager and principal official in Operations functional area of the Safety Office.
You will formulate and establish operational policy, guidance, plan, and direction for carrying out the Safety Program in accordance with USMC and DoD directives.
You will develop and coordinate on operational safety policies and standards for research, design, development, testing, movement, storage, maintenance, and renovation, of agents, munitions and related agents.
You will ensure that state-of-the-art operational safety management concepts, principles, and techniques are incorporated into all aspects of the Safety Program.
You will apply managerial techniques in analyzing and evaluating operations safety data, reports, and test data.
You will provide management oversight of the performance of USMC elements in fulfilling operational safety program objectives.
You will serve as an expert consultant or advisor on operational safety, protective, clothing, operations monitoring, and provide sound technical and managerial advice to resolve problems.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You must obtain and maintain a CP-12 or equivalent certification.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing OSHA inspections, mishap investigations, reporting results in and managing safety applications, and demonstrating expert knowledge in safety and occupational health standards and risk management.
