This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for certain personnel to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position:
This is a PERMANENT Realty Specialist position with the U.S. Army Central at Shaw Air Force Base, SC.
Duties
Conducts inventories, utilization surveys, and or compliance inspections.
Serves as ARCENT’s Real Property Accountable Officer (RPAO) to coordinate the command’s Real Property Inventory Management.
Prepares and ensures the technical accuracy of real property financial documentation as required to include preparing reports and briefings on real property financial data.
Makes recommendations of facilities for disposal based on inspection findings.
Manages and maintains the real property General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) database.
Reviews other documents, which include but are not limited to, completed work orders, contracts on new facilities, disposal records, etc. in order to determine if changes to facilities will change the real property inventory on that facility.
Ensures that procedures relating to the transfer and acceptance of accountable real property are adhered to; provides technical data and detailed information in response to headquarters requests.
Coordinates questionable data with originator, resolves discrepancies and updates inventory as required.
Requirements

- Temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time required.
- One-year probationary period required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) utilizing a real property database application to maintain accountability and utilization of real property; 2) communicating with a variety of individuals to analyze and solve real property problems; 3) processing real estate agreements; and 4) maintaining auditable real property records in accordance with applicable criteria. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
