THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a Production Controller (Aircraft), Position Description Number D1064000 and is part of the Army National Guard.
This is a full-time, Excepted Permanent, dual status position which requires Army National Guard Membership.
Area of Consideration: Current on-board members of the Georgia Army National Guard employed at the Army Aviation Support Facility #2 at Dobbins AFB, Georgia.
Duties
As an Production Controller (Aircraft), GS-1152-09, you will:
Analyze allocated Flying Hour Program (FHP). Develop plans to optimize execution of flying hours with available resources to satisfy operational and training requirements of the AASF and supported units. Consider Additional Flight Training Periods (AFTP), Multiple and Unit Training Assemblies, Annual Training periods, Mobilization Planning and Training Exercises, and State Emergency Operations in the distribution of aircraft and aircraft hours.
Develop schedules of aircraft and hours to be flown to satisfy the AASF operational aircraft requirements. Recommend priorities for use of aircraft based on operational mission requirements and projected short and long-term maintenance requirements and AASF capabilities.

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

Military Grades: E4 - E7
Compatible Military Assignments: EMOS: 15B, D, F, G, H, N, P, R, T, U
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education or training preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc.
Education
If you are using Education to qualify for this position: A maximum of 12 months of the required experience may be substituted by successful completion of undergraduate study in an accredited college or university at the rate of 30 semester hours for 12 months of experience. The education must have been in fields directly related to Production Control.
You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your Educational claims. To receive credit for Education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
