Salary Ranges
GG09 Salary Range: $60,808-$83,103
GG10 Salary Range: $66,963-$91,513
Duties
You will serve as a Purchasing Agent in the Logistics and Requirements Department (N4/8) at Naval Cyber Defense Operations Command (NCDOC).
You will serve as the Command’s Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) program oversight official.
You will employ a broad knowledge of Department of Navy and Department of Defense Acquisition policies and procedures to ensure adequate NCDOC Manager’s Internal Control Program, as well as Commander US Tenth Fleet Inspector General Control Program.
You will serve as the command Purchasing Agent responsible for checking mandatory sources of supply prior to initiating purchases.
You will employ a broad knowledge of Department of Navy and Department of Defense Acquisition policies and procedures to ensure adequate support and compliance with all applicable policies and procedures.
You will obtain quotes and create micro-purchase forms as requested for command purchases.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
Qualifications
Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by:

-Experience reconciling card holder records.
-Experience verifying vendor quotes are accurate and valid.
-Experience assisting in the preparation of and maintaining auditable records.
-Experience tracking purchases to make sure they are received in a timely manner.
This position is within the Work Category Technician/Administrative Support at Work Level Full Performance, Series and Grade GG-1105-09.
GG10
-Experience conducting audits on purchases.
-Experience working with vendors and US Banks to resolve any purchase discrepancies and wrongful charges.
-Experience researching vendors to include pricing and quality of products received.
-Experience completing validation reports and submitting them for external validation.
This position is within the Work Category Technician/Administrative Support at Work Level Full Performance, Series and Grade GG-1105-10.
