You will serve as a ENGINEER EQUIPMENT OPERATOR LEADER in the INSTALLATION AND LOGISTICS FACILITIES MAINTENANCE DICISION of MCRD ERR PI SC.

Duties

You will maintain, repair, and construct flexible roads4 pavements, parking areas, or similar surfaces of asphalt. You will plan and lay out work from blueprints, rough sketches, drawings, surveys. and work orders. You will work on surfaces such as sidewalks, steps, curbs, ramps, roads, and other projects that involve the setting of forms in straight lines and some curved forms that do not require precise measurements. You will utilize safety practices and, procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environments. You will use and maintain tools and equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance tasks associated with the equipment.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • You will be required to maintain HAZMAT and OSHA certifications.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
