You will serve as a Museum Technician (History) in the Marine Corps Recruit Depot of MCRD ERR PI SC.

Duties
You will assist in collections management with an emphasis on artifact registration, records management, and the handling, storage, and exhibit of artifacts.
You will handle all types of artifacts and work with other museum staff.
You will assist museum and Depot staff members and visiting researchers in obtaining information about artifacts.
You will develop the museum's annual operating budget phased plan and execute financial management during the fiscal year.
You will oversee the museum's monthly budget and perform purchasing actions.
You will monitor museum galleries and exhibits to ensure that the displays are in working order.
You will answer phones and respond to inquiries received by obtaining and providing general information.
You will assist in designing and laying out exhibits and employ graphic arts and design methods.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with exhibits and collections management and executing financial management and purchasing requirements in support of museum operations.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
1 full academic year of related graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement
