Joining the Secret Service, Office of Training, James J. Rowley Training Center will allow you to oversee the management of accountable property for all components at the Training Center, as well as providing day-to-day guidance and oversight to subordinates in the procurement of supplies and equipment in support of the Training Center.

Duties
The selectee will serve as a Supervisory Property Management Specialist in the Office of Training, James J. Rowley Training Center. Typical work assignments include:
Analyzing equipment trends and recommending actions to facilitate the maximum utilization of government property.
Preparing and justifying the fiscal year allocation estimates for supply and equipment items.
Monitoring the issuance, reassignment, and receipt of accountable property/equipment.
Performing the Annual Property Inventory Certification for all assigned property and equipment.
Assuring timely completion of assigned work by monitoring workloads, adjusting assignments to meet priorities, and ensuring the adherence to operational procedures.
Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below
GS-13: You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting salary $117,962.00) if you possess one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties:
Analyzing equipment, property, and/or resource management activities to determine the effectiveness of program operations;
Conducting evaluations of property and resource management program operations to develop interpretations, projections, policies, and/or plans; and
Providing recommendations or guidance to other staff members to contribute to the attainment of team objectives.

Time-in-Grade Requirements: Under competitive merit promotion procedures, any individual who is currently holding, or who has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying). NOTE: All current or former Federal employees must provide a copy of their SF-50 (you may need to submit more than one), "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF-50 must include your position, title, series, grade, step, tenure (1 or 2), and type of service (Competitive or Excepted).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Other Conditions of Employment: Supervision and program oversight require extensive coordination between and among other offices of the Service. Management responsibilities involve overseeing important projects and assignments comparable in difficulty to the GS-12 level. Supervision involves major recommendations that substantially affect the structure and organization of the Service's property program.
