About the Position: This position is located in an assigned U.S. Recruiting Command (USAREC), Brigade (BDE) Headquarter (HQs).
Duties
Coordinated assignments of military personnel within the assigned agency based on needs of assigned organizations and skills of incoming military personnel.
Prepared written instructions, procedures, and special instructions or clarifies published guidelines.
Submitted personnel actions to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Advised and assisted leadership, supporting agencies, and companies with officer and enlisted HR matters.
Planed and coordinated implementation and compliance of policy and procedural requirements in areas of administration and support services.
Establishes operating guidelines to implement procedures, methods, and other work-related changes that improve operating effectiveness.
Provided advice for a wide variety of military personnel actions; e.g. military evaluations, military awards, Line of Duty Investigations.
Provided information and/or guidance on new or changed administrative policies and procedures and informs superiors of program requirements.
Coordinated recommendations and determinations on issues and actions related to officer replacements, personnel actions, reliefs, and evaluations across organizational lines with other staff offices or major organizational commands.
Produced reports or other data to identify problems in accuracy, adequacy, or adherence to procedures
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-09. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience planning, directing, and coordinating operations and activities that support and implement programs concerning the components of the military personnel management life cycle. Experience maintaining personnel records and processing of all personnel actions. Experience Interpreting laws, rules, regulations, directives, decisions, and policies applicable to Military HR management.

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
