You will serve as a SECRUITY SPECIALIST in the MISSION SUPPORT DIVISION, CODE 124300 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.
Duties
You will process contractor checkouts.
You will be responsible for processing contractor and other government badge requests, ensuring all paperwork for badges are complete and accurate.
You will be responsible for working with Navy International Programs Office (NIPO) to verify approval for such visits.
You will review personnel security questionnaire to determine accuracy and completion.
You will submit appropriate investigation for contractors working on unclassified contracts.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band (NO-01) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: Analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recognizing solutions; planning and organizing work; and, communicating effectively orally and in writing.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
- completed a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
OR
- A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
