The primary purpose of this position is to acquire, develop, support and sustain Products and Services by generating logistics solutions and supporting personnel.
Duties
Provide MAJCOM functional managers resolutions to complex system problems.
Recommend tests, equipment modifications, training for users and maintainers, and correction to design deficiencies through evaluation of operational capability of systems/equipment and review of performance data against standards.
Assist in troubleshooting and repairing difficult and unusual problems including those which have not been previously resolved.
Act as Technical Content Manager for assigned technical data and assist in troubleshooting and repairing difficult and unusual problems.
Design special test procedures, develops special maintenance procedures, and develops and conducts technical training for maintainers and operators.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-3, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience is described as: Knowledge of technical, logistical, acquisition, and sustainment support under total system configuration control, to ensure safety, suitability, operational and effectiveness integrity for all assigned weapon systems. Ability to provide system-level technical support to include maintenance and repair requirements for both contract and organic workloads. Provide system level logistic support to all customers to include data analysis to aid in procurement actions, excess disposal actions, repair requirements, reliability and maintainability actions. Provide system, sub-system, equipment, and component-level acquisition support to all customers to include development of technical documents, specifications, maintenance concepts, sustainment support, and logistic elements. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of maintenance concepts, principles, and practices of specific systems/equipment that are assigned.
2. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Skill in providing technical advice in terms of oral and written briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and maintenance technicians; and developing interpersonal relationships, maintaining good working relationships, and working cooperatively as a member of a team.
4. Skill in analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and technical data; and, identifying an analyzing complex technical problems and developing innovative solutions.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and re-prioritize work to meet challenging deadlines.
6. Ability to develop and conduct training to ensure proper maintenance of assigned systems/equipment; and communicate well both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
