This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, National Personnel Record Center, Military Personnel Records Branch. Serving in a supervisory capacity, the incumbent is responsible for the overall effectiveness and accomplishments of all operations within assigned branch section, such as; program planning, administration, program coordination, staff/team development, employee engagement, and personnel management.

Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-7. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

Requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-07, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Resolving unique and/or advanced issues regarding military record holdings that do not have written guidelines or precedents; AND Assisting in analyzing and/or implementing processes or procedural changes that align with organizational goals; AND Interpreting written instructions, regulations, memos and/or training material to inform others of interpretations. Specialized Experience: For the GS-06, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Interpreting regulations, procedural manuals, directives, etc. to complete archival work assignments; AND Using systems to locate items and/or using documentation to identify information relevant to a work assignment; In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-07, you must have been at the GS-06level for 52 weeks. For the GS-06, you must have been at the GS-05level for 52 weeks.
