You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM MANAGER in the ADMINSTRATIVE DIVISION of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR.

Duties

You will coordinate and develop communication upgrade plans, integrating MCAS Miramar ICG with various agencies such as the Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, Federal Aviation Administration, and several state and local entities. You will act as a liaison between MCAS Miramar and other governmental organizations, commercial entities, and academic centers, integrating services and technology across various sectors. You will oversee the performance and duties of approximately 32 Marine Corps and civilian personnel in the S-6 Department, handling all communications planning, prioritization, programming, resourcing, and direction. You will support the successful transition of new hires to the Federal workforce while adhering to Merit System Principles. You will uphold laws, regulations, and policies concerning Merit Systems Principles, equal employment opportunity, and prohibited personnel practices. You will direct and coordinate work, set priorities, and establish deadlines. You will be responsible for Contractor Performance Oversight encompassing the effective management and direction of contractor personnel engaged in key projects.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience with mission of the Fire Protection Branch for the preservation of life by providing first responders, hazardous materials technicians, emergency medical services (EMS), accident extrication, water rescue, confined space rescue, high and low angle rescue, and response to weapons of mass destruction and terrorism attacks. Ability to plant, direct and implement fire prevention and protection programs for installation. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
