Duties
Supports the Civilian Pay SSAE and customer audits by providing financial management services, project management and broad operational remediation work.
Provides enterprise audit advisory services and support to the operational/functional elements.
Offers response reviews and examinations, consulting and advisory services, risk management, liaison for internal and external audit organizations, audit compliance and follow-up and a variety of duties to analyze finance and accounting processes.
Monitors performance measurement and financial management information indicators for assessing the operational health of the audit readiness of the organization and the accounts managed.
Serves as the SSAE audit project manager for the civilian pay program
Serves as an audit liaison across the civilian pay program researching and performing root-cause analysis of audit inquiries.
Monitors milestones for recommendations as a result of Audit Reports provided by GAO, DoDIG, IR, RMIC compliance, statement of assurance and fraud detection.
Performs trend analysis of audit related corrective actions and reports on audit readiness metrics.
Interprets audit findings and analyzes the corresponding regulations and the impacts to auditable processes.
Provides analysis and assessment of Enterprise-wide initiatives, projects, or programs with strategic, enterprise or tactical impacts relative to the agency strategy.
Assesses and develops internal controls to support the civilian pay program specifically in the business process and system risk areas.

Qualifications
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as: Performing extensive financial management analysis and evaluation of the most complex situations and/or conditions to identify deficiencies of governing policies, business procedures, automated financial systems, and regulations to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service.
