The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of production planning, scheduling and material technician tasks in direct support of depot maintenance programs and operations. These operations include the repair, overhaul, manufacture, and/or modification of various weapon systems and very complex products including combat and strategic fixed wing aircraft.
Duties
Knowledge and experience in the recurring manufacture, overhaul, or repair of products or projects using multiple process production methods and procedures to develop information necessary for the control of complex product.
Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the organization, ensuring that logistics management related operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs
Participates in special logistics related operation projects and initiates and performs special assignments
Represents the organization with a variety of installations and functional are organizations.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one year of specialized experience which is equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-08), level, pay band (NJ-02), or equivalent (pay schedule, pay band, etc). Specialized experience is defined as performing production methods and procedures, labor, and material requirements needed to carry out production control assignments and the recurring manufacture, overhaul, or repair of products or projects.
NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
Knowledge to evaluate current organizational, concepts, principles, and practices, as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations
Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC.AFSC regulations, methods, operating, procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and procedures as required.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
