Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations command (CNIC); Naval Base Kitsap - Bremerton

Requirements

  • Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation

Qualifications

Must be knowledgeable of emergency water safety procedures Performs housekeeping tasks for proper standards of cleanliness, free from hazards, sanitation and appearance of pool and related facilities Must pass annual swim test demonstrating ability to perform the work Ability to perform the full range of lifeguarding duties Knowledge of cash handling procedures Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation Must be at least 16 years old Must possess a valid lifeguarding certification from a recognized agency or obtain it within 30 days of hire Must be able to pass a 250 yard timed swim test Must be able to communicate orally and in writing
