About the Position: Serves as Chief, Real Estate Division overseeing a staff of 45 employees in three branches, including realty specialists, appraisers, timber sales specialists, cartographic technicians, support technicians and clerical staff. This position manages work through subordinate supervisors, the work requires extensive coordination and integration of a number of important programs and projects assigned to the Real Estate Division.
Duties
Manages the Real Estate Division of the Seattle District.
Coordinates Real Estate activities with other District functional elements.
Performs technical real estate work on complex and controversial cases, and acts as District representative on Real Estate issues.
Supervises the Real Estate Division staff.
Requirements

This is a Temporary Promotion Opportunity: This is a temporary promotion opportunity for Current Army Employees. Position may be filled as a Temporary Promotion NTE 1 year. Temporary promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition. Or Position may be filled as a Reassignment/Change to Lower Grade to positions at the same, or higher grade, on a temporary basis.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes directing and overseeing an extensive real estate program involving real estate planning, appraisal, acquisition, management and disposal of land and structures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
