You will serve as an OFFICE AUTOMATION ASSISTANT in the PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION of MARINE CORPS BASE.
Duties
You will utilize a variety of personal computer-based hardware components, peripherals and software to develop methods for automating administrative reports
You will produce, stores and retrieves a wide variety of documents and information from office records maintained in various office automation systems
You will receive visitors, and phone calls and refer them to proper person or furnish information requested.
You will serve as timekeeper for the section or as a back-up timekeeper for other branches within Utilities.
You will serve as the travel initiator for the Defense Travel System (DTS) for the Utilities Directors, Supervisors and staff consisting of over 130 personnel.
You will requisition office supplies, equipment, material, supplies and publications as requested by the shop journeymen.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: utilizing office automation systems to produce, store, and receive a wide variety of documents AND process travel requests for personnel.
