This National Guard position is for an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST (Temp Promo) - Title 32 OBO, Position Description Number D1257000 and is part of the WI CSMS, Wisconsin Army National Guard. *At management's discretion, this temporary Promotion may be made permanent without further competition in accordance with 5CFR 335.103(c)(1)(i)* **This position is also listed as vacancy 24-463A as an Indefinite appointment, only one vacancy will be selected**

Duties

As a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST (Temp Promo) - Title 32 OBO, GS-1670-9, you will provide instruction and assistance to state unit personnel regarding Army National Guard (ARNG) equipment and maintenance management. Knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methods of equipment maintenance and management of a variety of ARNG equipment is required.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training which demonstrates knowledge of equipment to be able to do routine jobs, simple preventative maintenance tasks, and is able to use common tools and equipment in the line of work. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the WG-5801-11 position, applicant must have at least 18 months experience or training diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and modifying more complex vehicles, equipment, and more complicated systems. Experience which has provided a thorough knowledge of diagnostic equipment. Experience applying independent judgment in determining methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems. Experienced in testing, inspecting, and evaluating the work performed on vehicles, equipment and systems.
