This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. FMWR includes Child and Youth Services, Business Recreation, and Support Services, which enable Soldier readiness, support the resiliency and well-being of Soldiers and Families.

Duties
Serves as a working leader of three or more employees in accomplishing bartender work.
Follows established procedures in operating a small full service bar, mixing and serving the full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Assist customers by discussing customers by discussing beverages available, their content and mixing special drinks according to customer direction.
Uses tactfulness and courtesy to deny further sales to persons whose conduct has become unruly or who appear to be intoxicated.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.
- This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
- An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
- Must regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Must stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.
- Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
ability to lead or supervise employees engaged in bartending duties, AND
ability to mix and serve alcoholic beverages, AND
meet state/local age requirements (18 years of age) for the serving of alcoholic beverages by 10/7/2024, AND
be physically able to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
