About the Position: Serves as an Audiovisual Production Specialist for the U.S Army Recruiting Command (USAREC). Supports the marketing and engagement functions of the command.
Duties
Provide multimedia coverage of organizational events to create outreach content.
Maintain system of audiovisual products for future reference/use.
Analyze audiovisual requirements to make recommendations for operational changes.
Produce various engaging media materials for dissemination to target audiences.
Collaborate with multiple sources to reach the organizations target audiences.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Each year the team is required to travel to various locations for about eight weeks for their Annual Certification Cycle . See Additional Information section for more information.
- Applicant/employee must be able to lift 50lbs (with assistance).
- Must successfully take and pass a physical examination prior to entry on duty.
- This position may require the incumbent to work hours outside the normal administrative work
week, e.g., weekends, holidays, evenings in order to cover events not scheduled during regular
hours.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience includes: 1) Creating photographic and/or video coverage of events; 2) Maintain a system of organized audiovisual information for media purposes: 3) Collaborate with stakeholders to create engaging multimedia scopes of information such as (i.e., pamphlets, brochures, and/or videos); 4) Ensure proper use of equipment to capture photo and/or video images. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
