This Program Analyst position is located in the Veterans Health Administration, Homeless Program Office, Office of the Deputy UnderSecretary for Health Operations and Management (DUSHOM) of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The primary purpose of position is to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of health care by integrating clinical and information processes necessary to achieve successful adoption and application of new technologies throughout VHA Homeless Program Office.
Duties

Support user-centered design of health information technology products with the focus on the user's experience and interaction.
Manages the development and implementation of policies, plans, guidelines and proposals for Clinical Operations.
Participate in design reviews, analyze user research, and assess usability testing results to determine optimal solutions to improve user experience.
Participate in ideation, scoping, testing, and validation of new products and services on a variety of platforms.
Work effectively with business analysts, software developers, usability experts, and end -users to solve usability issues.
Develop workflows, user task analyses, personas, interaction flows, wireframes, low fidelity mock-ups, navigational flows, and high fidelity prototypes.
Demonstrates excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
Participates in design reviews, analyze user research, and assess usability testing results to determine optimal solutions to improve user experience.
Coordinates, oversees and direct projects for Clinical Operations as related to analytics and informatics.
Initiate, conceptualize, design and test user-centered, best-in-class health information technology products based on business and functional requirements, user research, market analysis, customer feedback, and a thorough understanding of usability best practices.
Align business requirements, user-centered design methodology and technology factors to create medium and high fidelity interactive models and prototypes to validate business requirement and conduct usability testing.
Coordinate with design, development, and business teams in the conception of highly interactive applications.

Work Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Compressed/Flexible: May be available at management's discretion.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 10/18/2024.

Designing and testing user interfaces to enhance the users' experience with the visual, usability, and technological elements of that interface as it relates to the Homeless Registry, patient data records, and community data sets; and

Specialized Experience Requirement: Do you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS12 on Federal Service that includes the following specialized experience examples? In order to meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet 5 of 7 of the following examples of specialized experience.

Physical Requirements: The work is relatively sedentary. Travel is required for design sessions, usability assessments, national and local meetings, consultations, and training.
