You will serve as a SUPV HUMAN RESEOURCES SPECIALIST (MIL) in the Manpower Management Division, Manpower and Reserve Affairs Department of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Duties
You will research and develop recommended HQMC positions on proposed changes to military awards policy.
You will serve as SME to Section Head on matters related to both historical and current policies concerning all military awards.
You will be responsible for responding to inquiries from various sources, including members of Congress, OSD, SECNAV, CMC, Veteran Marines and their Primary Next of Kin.
You will review and either approve or forward responses prepared by unit employees for awards submitted beyond statutory or regulatory time limits under SECNAV policy, Title 10 USC Section 1130 or as a waiver to 10 USC Section 8298.
You will review and either approve or forward correspondence prepared by unit employees in response to inquiries regarding verification of award entitlements for Veteran Marines.
You will directly supervise, assign and direct the required work for a staff of five civilian employees in the unit (two GS-201-11, one GS-201-09 and two GS-203-7
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
