About the Position: supports installation sustainment through procurement, inventory, resource, and work management by aligning requirements to capability, forecasting infrastructure, and equipment lifecycle, and with flexibility in an ever-changing environment ensuring force readiness.
Duties
Serves as the principal advisor to the Director of Public Works (DPW) concerning work management of facility and operations management.
As the Chief, Work Management Branch within the Business Operations and Integration Division.
Overall supervision and management for all work management services and inspections.
As authoritative, makes on the spot split-second decisions, with immediate impact on Safety and Environment, which has far-reaching monetary impact.
Responsible for a wide range of work management service provisions with unique infrastructure systems and sub-systems, some of which are hybrid, unique and complex requirements.
Assume various roles to include inspector, and Alternate, Technical representative.
Requirements
- Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes oversee facilities management and real property maintenance, including infrastructure maintenance and repair, budget planning, and technical operations, utilizing knowledge of construction techniques, labor and material costs, and skilled crafts and trades capabilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-[11).
