This position is a Full-time temporary appointment not-to-exceed one year with potential to be extended for an additional one year for a maximum of two years based on agency needs and potential funding.

Duties
Major Duties includes:
Mows shoulders of-front country and backcountry roads, open fields and hillsides, parking lots and maintained grounds with tractors, weedeaters, and hand tools.
Perform road surface, shoulder, and drainage maintenance and repairs, and clear roadways of downed trees.
Maintain, fuel, and perform minor repairs to tractors, chainsaws, weed trimmers, and other diesel or gasoline powered small equipment.
Work independently or with a small crew to install and maintain split rail or wire fencing, trail gates, signs, and other road associated assets.
Use park-owned computer for web-based training, correspondence, and documenting work activities.
Qualifications
A selectee receiving a first appointment to the Federal Government (Civil Service) is entitled only to the lowest step of the grade for which selected. The display of a salary range on this vacancy shall not be construed as granting an entitlement to a higher rate of pay.
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision (SCREEN OUT)
Operation of Motor Vehicles
Work Practices (including keeping things neat, clean, and in order)
Ability to interpret instructions, specifications, etc. (related to mobile equipment operation)
Ability to Operate Safely (Non-Motor Vehicle)
