The incumbent serves as a technical specialist responsible for soliciting, acquiring, collecting, evaluating, compiling and selecting appropriate technical navigational and related operational data for inclusion in aeronautical products and publications.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the FG/GS-11 level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the FG/GS-9 level. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes: Experience working with Terminal Area Route Generations and Traffic Simulations (TARGETS) to apply basic instrument flight procedure principles for creating, maintaining, and revising terminal/en-route instrument flight procedures.OREducation Substitution:Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. (Transcripts Required)OrCombination education and experiencemay be qualifying for this position. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes: Experience as a technical specialist in the full range of complex technical aeronautical instrument flight procedures data. Experience analyzing operational aeronautical/navigational practices, techniques and methods. Experience as a technical specialist for one or more of the following program of Terminal Area Route Generations and Traffic Simulations (TARGETS) to instrument flight procedure principles for creating, maintaining, and revising terminal/en-route instrument flight procedures.To qualify for this position at the FG/GS-13 level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the FG/GS-12 level. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes: Experience as a subject-matter expert providing high-level technical aeronautical and operational advice to other specialist related to instrument flight procedures principles. Ensures quality control of complex aeronautical information procedures by providing subject-matter guidance to other specialist related to creating, maintaining, and revising instrument flight procedures products and publications. Experience in recommending changes in criteria, policies, or procedures as it relates to instrument flight procedures products or publications.Applicants should provide examples of Specialized Experience in their Work History.
