This position is part of the FMWR Seward Military Resort located in Seward, Alaska.

Duties
Plans, supervises, directs and coordinates a variety of maintenance functions that are supportive to the entire DFMWR.
Assigns, directs, and evaluates the work of subordinate employees and holds them accountable for performance of assigned work.
Orders materials, supplies, tools, and equipment, and assures that all tools, vehicles, and equipment is operational and in safe working condition.
Provides assistance, advice, and recommendations on improvements or repairs to DMWR facilities. Assists with preparation of service orders.
Requirements

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Work is performed in a normal office setting having adequate lighting, ventilation, etc. and in outdoor locations to include exposure to inclement weather, heat, cold and dirty conditions.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Physical may be required.
Qualifications
One (1) year equivalent to at least the next lower level in the normal line of progression.
Supervisory/managerial work experience to include technical or professional work experience in general facilities and equipment maintenance.
Physical ability to inspect facilities such as roofs, plumbing, etc which requires climbing ladders, crawling under buildings, being subjected to heat and cold.
Technical knowledge in such trades as carpentry, plumbing, painting and electrical sufficient to train employees maintenance function in these trade/crafts.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Ability to make cost and budget analyses and project costs of assigned projects.
Education
