About the Position: Represents the Chief of the Force Development Full Dimension Protection Division at meetings which address the resolution of critical system related issues and involves high-level officials from HQDA, DOD, other Government agencies, the Congressional Staff, and the private sector.
Duties
Serves as Synchronization Staff Officer (SSO) for one or more systems ACAT II systems and principal representative for G8, Force Development Directorate in matters to pertaining to that program.
Acts as DA proponent for all assigned systems to ensure total systems are fielded that meet Army requirements in accordance with DCS, G3 priorities and system distribution plan.
Analyzes and identifies potential for joint programs with other Services and allied nations and makes recommendations for programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Position may require TDY travel up to 25%.

GS-13 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting in-depth analysis of equipping and modernization actions: utilizing automated databases to extract and evaluate budgetary data; assisting in the development of budgetary and modernization requirements and managing budgetary requirements for capabilities support.
GS-12 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the which includes ensuring force structure and hardware fielding is compatible; developing procedures to improve program efficiency and effectiveness; and managing acquisition systems to ensure manpower, money, and material resources are properly allocated.
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
