The mission of the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) is to promote integrity, efficiency, effectiveness, and economy, and to detect and deter waste, fraud, and abuse in support of DCSA's value of unwavering integrity through an ethical and accountable workforce. The Supervisory Investigator will oversee operations and supervise employees within the Complaints and Inquiries unit of the OIG.
Duties
As a SUPERVISORY INVESTIGATOR you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Responsible for the oversight, planning and supervision of staff assigned to the work unit, to include assignment of work, oversight of staff, review of work products, resource management, approval of time and attendance and travel, drafting of performance plans, standard operating procedures, and all related supervisory functions.
- Conduct, manage, and coordinate complaints, inquiries, and/or investigations to ensure timely and accurate findings in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
- Collect, analyze, evaluate, integrate, and disseminate DCSA regulations, policies and procedures, and OIG program specific guidance encompassing a variety of sensitive investigative, analytical, and supportive activities.
- Routinely liaison with other DCSA directorates, Federal agencies, and private sector businesses under contract to DCSA.
- Prepare and present complex and detailed reports regarding investigative findings, reviews, or other matters within the jurisdiction of OIG.
- Represent the Office of the Inspector General at meetings and provide "teaching and training" to DCSA employees as part of the OIG's core responsibilities.

- Must have completed, or complete after selection, the Contracting Officer Representative Course (COR).

Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: ???????advanced experience conducting analysis and reviews of investigative findings, complaints, trends, and other data to ensure established internal controls and risk management framework are adequate and appropriately designed controls are in place; interpreting policies and procedures utilized in the conducting of inquiries and investigations and collaboration with stakeholders, to include internal and external agencies; and experience demonstrating collaboration and development of effective working relationships while working as part of a high performing team, mentoring new or junior employees, and providing technical and professional guidance using written and oral communications.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
