The position of Housing Manager is located under the Branch of Building and Grounds within the Division of Administrative Services at the Crow/Northern Cheyenne Hospital, Crow Service Unit, Crow Agency, MT. The purpose of this position is to provide oversight of the government housing units occupied by employees. The
position also performs supervisory functions.
Duties
Formulates tenant directives and instructions within the framework of the IHS housing requirements concerning assignments, termination, inspections, maintenance, cleanliness, conservation of utilities, security, safety and other housing activities.
Conducts technical studies of family housing demands, turnover rates and physical requirements to develop recommendations for changes or improvements. Interprets and has a working knowledge of community resources relative to housing availability.
Directly supervises 3 Maintenance Worker Helpers WG-4749-05, 1 Housekeeper WG-3566-03 and 1 Laborer WG-4749-05 Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates and prepares schedules for completion of work, assigns work to subordinates based on priorities and capabilities of employees, evaluates work performance of subordinates.

In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS (07) in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: knowledge of the fundamental principles, techniques, and methodology related to scheduling, coordinating, operation, and efficient utilization of government quarters, general knowledge with repair, maintenance or improvement of facilities, equipment, furnishings, and knowledge of periodic reviews or inspections, skills in developing tenant directives, and knowledge of agency cost and funding control procedures.
Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
