You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the FLEET SUPPLY IT OPERATIONS & POLICY DIVISION of COMMANDER US FLEET FORCES COMMAND.
Duties
You will procure supplies, materials and services as required and requested by staff and headquarters.
You will maintain and use the Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) and adhere to all NAVSUPINST 4200.99 requirements for use of the GCPC in both routine and unique situations.
You will manage and coordinate contracts for equipment rental and services as required.
You will verify and certify information contained in all documents, reports and research all errors, inconsistencies and special situations on invoices and supporting documentation.
You will contact vendors to obtain information regarding purchase order quotes, orders and/or requisitions.
You will analyze governing regulations, policies and procedures for applicability, and assist in the development and/or revision of existing operating procedures.
You will update and maintain inventory of supplies, property, hazardous material items and prepare records and reports daily.
You will coordinate staff-wide pick-up and delivery of hazardous material.
You will assist with USFF N41 Defense Travel System Approving Official in the day-to-day processing of travel authorizations and vouchers.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
To qualify for the SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-07 position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in the DoN Government-wide Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) program.
Experience in supply and financial research, record keeping and budget formulation.
Experience in material request processing, requisition, and procurement.
Experience in shipping, receiving inventory and warehouse management.
Experience in material distribution, disposition, and hazardous material management.
Experience in customer service management.
